JASIONOWKA

Jasionowka is located in the north-eastern part of the Bialystok province, on the ancient royal route between Warsaw and Wilno. The history of the town dates back to the 16th century. In 1642 King Wladyslaw IV granted Jasionowka town rights. Town flourished in the 19th century when the Wollowicz family owned it.

Today the commune is typically rural and therefore the region is unspoiled where one can even encounter beaver dams on the Brzozowka River.

Among interesting historical monuments the Church, Catholic and Jewish cemeteries, and the Old Park are most significant.
